Drug test for SWA APR interview

A friend of mine who interviewed the same day I did, 21 APR, got a call for the drug test today (10 MAY) at 4:10PM. I didn't. Anyone else?

I interviewed in April and just got called for a drug test today. Does anyone know how long after the pee test you'll get a GS date?

Skater -- No calls or letters here yet and there are three of us that interviewed in Apr. Also, none of us has heard about any calls or letters from any of the guys on our (3) respective interview days. Hopefully tomorrow will bring good fortune to us all. Good Luck. Pole.

Just curious, based on previous threads....those of you awaiting the drug test call, did SWA already call your contacts?
Related question - are the contacts merely the people who wrote letters for you, or does the interview pkg ask for something different?

Interviewed April 5, SWA called around 3pm mst today. Review board met may 5th.

If Pablo E's last name begins with E.... My friends name begins with C. I talked to two other friends who's names begin with F and Y, mine begins with S (interviews on 15, 21 and before 15 of Apr). All of us had our backgrounds checked and none of us got called and no letters either. I kind of think they call alphabetically. Sounds like they didn't start until the end of the day, around 4ish Texas time. I hope we all get called tomorrow, my guts can't take much more.

Also, to the one reference check question: I can only speak for myself, but they only checked my previous employers and two guys who wrote letters for me.

Questionable theory at best

Skater -- You're really hanging it out there basing your whole theory on a sample size of just two. For what it's worth, I really doubt you have broken the code here and I doubt this theory is correct. It does not track with what happened last month. Got the call this morning! Interviewed on April 6th, no class date yet.

For Those who have not received a drug test call from SWA- Don't worry.

The drug test means nothing.

Back in 2002, six of us had our references called and two of us were called for a drug test a week before the deceision board. The two of us called for the drug test were the only two not hired from the group of six whose references had been called.

By the way, in case you're wondering - the Air Force tests us all the time for drugs and I've always passed.

Everything happens for a reason though and I am now a year from upgrade at AirTran. Couldn't have worked out better.

I got the call this morning as well. 1030 AM EST from Lilah. We are very excited and feel very fortunate. I hope you all get calls shortly. Here are my stats.

NEWSFLASH! My two other buddies in my squadron who also interviewed last month both just got calls as well! Yeah, again!!

They interviewed Apr 8th and 13th and they both applied spring 02. They both have types from Dec 01 and spring 02.

For Skater, our last names begin with D, L, and Z.

I got a call today at 4:15 CST from Lilah for the drug test. I talked to a good friend of mine who is a captain at SWA and knows most of the interview/background check guys. He said he had talked to them and the letters all got sent out Friday. Also, he said his one buddy said not to panic about the calls, they are really behind.

I just got the call for the drug test this morning at 9:00 Texas time. I asked if I was the last person on the list and Lilah said "Nope, still making more calls." Do not give up hope!!
