I've been looking at moving to eastern PA. Some of the older smaller towns outside Philly really appeal to me. I like West Chester but it's a little too big and expensive. I found Doylestown and so far I like what I see. Does anyone live or know anything about this town? I would be commuting to Philly airport on the us air short call reserve.

Doylestown is a great town!! Highly recommended! Lots of character for sure. Easy commute to PHL. Short call reserve can easily be done living there. Also, has an amazing FAA doc in D-Town. I have lived in Yardley, PA (close to Doylestown) my entire life and have no desire to move away. Sits right on I-95 and is about 45 minute commute with no traffic. Just far enough out to feel like you arent in the city of PHL. Short call reserve is the best gig intown when you live this close. Did it for almost 2 years

Close to Jersey Shore areas (they arent all like that stupid show), Pocono mtns, NYC.
Any other questions let me know!

Are there any other towns like it? I also really liked Media, PA but there doesn't seem to be much for rent there.

We are getting out of NJ and moving near Doylestown. The actual borough is a little out of our price range for what we want; we are moving to Fountainville, about 5 min west. Great schools from what we can tell.

I lived downtown dtown when I was at the regionals and before I relocated to connecticut. Fun town, actually has night life... Well a little bit. Learn the back roads and you will have little problem making PHL in about an hour. DR Carver is the best AME I'd ever used, if I still flew into phl ever I'd make an annual trip to see him.
