Can someone please tell me if the Dornier 228-200 is an aircraft over the weight of 12,500lbs?? I'm not sure if it's something that requires a type rating or not. Could someone please fill me in. Thanks.

The "Doorknob" has a MTOW of 13,668 and does require a type rating.

It's a sweetheart to fly, but the Garrett engines are seriously tem-limited in the summer.
