Does anyone know what the regulations are for donating blood to the Red Cross? I'm currently flying 135, and would like to know what sort of recovery time is required, and if the practice is temporarily grounding.

Thanks!

It is company dependent. By all means donate blood, it is the right thing to do and a selfless act. Besides, you get cookies, juice, and cool T-shirts.

At my company it's 14 days, if you want to fly before 14 days, you have to have a blood test that shows normal counts. In no case may we fly within 72 hours of donating blood.
