Anyone done the background check recently?

What time period can I expect between the email confirming the airlines intention to train me, and getting the fingerprinting done?

Any experiences appreciated.

From the time I got the application in and the DOJ/airline acknowledged it, I had a wait of one week. Then they wanted more info and I had to resubmit the application. 6 more days passed and they sent me to go ahead and get the fingerprints. 1 week further then passed and I got final approval to train...(that was just this last friday). Pretty recent. 2 other candidates I spoke with had similar timeframes.

goodluck.;)

I did one back in July. Took 6 days from the time I submitted the application for the "preliminary approval". Then I did the fingerprints and it took about a week for the final approval after submitting that. A very reasonable 2 weeks total- definately not the 45+ days I was expecting.
