Is there any Foreign Citizens out there that have been able to go through the DOJ Background check successfully?

You know, those without prior experience, that actually went through the Website applied and got approved for training?

If so, Can you share the experience, how long did it take? did it go through the first time?

Is there anybody that has applied and got denied or told to add more information? or denied based on lack of sufficent information?

Basically, now that there is an actual Background check is anybody going through, or is it just another burocratical trap designed with the same purpose of the friggin law in the first place?

A Girl (Non-Citizen, Greencard holder) I used to work with got hired by a 121-Commuter under the prerequisite of getting DOJ-Approval before class starts. It took about 9 weeks from start to finish. I understand she had to do a couple of phonecalls to keep the ball rolling. She got approved a week before her class date... She was a happy camper! :D

So it's doable, but you have to find an employer who is willing to take the risk.

Cheers,
