Just wondering if you begin your II training and not nec. insturment current, woudl the II ride count as a prof. check as well?
 
Your instructor can give you a prof. check during the II training, thats what I did with my students.

No, not by default. All it does is re-baseline your CFI...unless you specifically request a proficiency check as part of the CFII ride...
