I flew on one last week and I could sense the somber mood among the crew members. I love the take off acceleration and the flight deck is quite impressive. I always look forward to flying on the Dojo - very comfortable from the pax side with better bins than the CRJ and ERJ.

Have you heard of any ACA/Indy Air guys actually applying to Skyway to fly it there? What percentage of current Dojo pilots there will be furloughed but stay with Indy vs. moving on elsewhere? Aren't most Dojo pilots at Indy looking forward to moving on to the CRJ/Airbus?

*NOBODY* at ACA/Indy will be applying to work at Skyway. Why would we want to trade the upside of what Independence Air could become to work for a D-pay scale regional? Yeah, I love to fly the FRJ, but not that much...

Possibly some of the CVG FrJ drivers will be furloughed, but not that many. People forget that ACA/Independence is one big seniority list, and it'll be kinda funny actually when we all end up back in IAD, since we have a lot of people who'll be quite senior in either A319 or CRJ, CA or FO seat. Its not like because our airplane is going away that we're all out of a job, we have our #, and we can't wait to get to Independence.

As for me, like many of my fellow Blue Ridgers on the Delta Connection side, I'm getting a min 2 month paid vacation come Nov 1st, and won't be hitting CRJ class until January..... Skyway ..... you guys can have our FRJs..... take good care of 'em, I will definitely miss its climb characteristics.....

p.s. FYI - The Fairchild Dornier 328Jet has many nicknames among its crews....Dojet, FRJ, Velcro Jet..... however Dojo is not one I've heard anybody aside from you or Gen. Lee use.

There are a few retarded FA's in CVG that call it the Dojo. Like I said...they're retarded.

If we get the Dorks, you may get the call. If not, a whole bunch of newhires are going experience their first furlough.

This site seems to be the only place to get information regarding any news/rumors about Skyway and I am a very eager young guy! I don't mean these posts to bug people, I just want to see what some people have heard around the halls or on the ramp. I realize it will happen when the time is "right".

Your enthusiasm is a good sign and duly noted. I appreciate the frustration of working a job where you feel "stuck" as I have been there myself. But this place, sometimes, is not the best place to find the latest.

The latest is that no one knows what the latest is right now. How is that for double talk? And, like I have said before, those "in the know" cannot talk about it. Too many variables happening right now at Delta. IMHO, I suspect that we will know more by the end of October.

Don't worry about it. It's actually refreshing to hear some enthusiasm on this board vs. the constant negativity. By the way, I have friends at Skyway and they use the term "Dojo" all the time... Just because you ACA guys don't use it doesn't mean others don't use it...
