Do Employment apps ask if you're med. cert. has ever been suspended/denied?

I don't remember if I have ever been asked that question, but if you think it's going to be a problem, I suggest you contact a good aviation attorney and go from there.

I guess the issue is, does the employer have the right or the authority to ask such a question. Only an attorney can advise you as to how to answer that.
 
Don't you give permission for them to get a copy of your FAA records? I'm sure that information is in there.....

What records? A record that you have a current medical?

Why would an employer have any right to know why your medical was denied in 1980 for whatever reason, if the FAA saw that it was o.k. to allow you to possess a medical in 1981 and beyond? What importance would it serve for an employer to know this? None, as far as I can see.

If you have a current medical, you have a current medical.

If your future employer wants to discriminate against you because you had a problem with your medical in the past, but have a current medical...then you should find the time to sue them.
