I'm trying to jumpseat on DL to Cape Town, South Africa via JFK/ATL-DKR-CPT. Has anyone done this yet and what were your experiences? Can I assume that the flights are weight-restricted? How much are the departure taxes? Is JFK or the ATL flight a better option to DKR? Any other tips are appreciated. Thanks.

South African Airways has a deal (as of last year), offering roundtrip airfare for $550r/t CONFIRMED SPACE. Way easier then getting booted in Dakar. With that said DKR is a pretty fun place!
