I've read about this a while back, but I don't recall the details of course until I actually came across this issue at work. Now, I'm having to look for the same info... lol

I wonder if anyone of you can suggest a dispatching/flight tracking software in which the crew can use to manage an aircraft while even on the road. Secondly, would we be able to use this and download information to a server so that the office can retrieve information and/ or reports from it, i.e. billing info, monthly reports, etc.?

A few that comes to mind are Navpak and FlightTrak. Any others would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

for a really cheap flight tracker check out www.acukwik.com and register for the free trial, over and over! you get what you pay for, but it is still pretty darn good for the wee fee of free.

FOS by CTA is definitely the best and most professional scheduling/dispatch software system on the market today. They have also just established a link with Flightexplorer, so you can combine two superb systems into talking to each other. Most HPN based flight departments (mostly Fortune 50 companies) have changed to CTA from various other software systems, including AIS, BART, Flightexplorer etc. Just goes to show how important CTA has become. I personally have brought CTA into 3 different operations in the last 3 years, that's how good I think it is.

Oops, meant to say Fligh-Pak instead of Flightexplorer above, where I refer to the software systems thrown out of many flight departments. Sorry!

Changing the subject from software to jobs......Does anyone know of any corporate dispatch jobs available?

Void - what part of the country are you looking to work in? ight be able to help, depending on the answer. Also how bout some background on your qualifications?

while we're on the subject . . .

while we're on the subject, why isnt there a decent dispatch board out there to gripe on or trade job info?

Any one have any pros or cons of FOS/NT or FlightPak? We are looking more towards CTA, but I'm finding that the program has too much info one one screen and seems difficult to use. The FlightPak seems good, but is kind of pricy for what you get. Any users out there?

I'm looking for you PMVULB... :D :D :D

I have a friend who is looking for a Dispatchers position in the NE any info I can pass on to hime would be greatly appreciated.

Many of the NE charter companies are looking for dispatchers and charter sales people. I think both Atlantic and TAG are looking, as might be Privatair. Great places to get your feet wet.
