Can anyone PM me with a contact name, number or e-mail, I'm a local (SDL) guy and intend to stay here for a while. I'd like to make my introductions and get ready to wait a while...

TDK90,

I just wanted to warn you that DT is a difficult department to hire on with. Pilots don't seem to leave. With all due respect, your experience seems a bit low to get into the Citation X, even right seat, unless you have some jet experience you're not listing on your profile.

Just for reference sake, I have a type rating in the X (with substantial operational experience in the aircraft), a reference from a mutual friend of mine and the Chief Pilot's (hand delivered), and I still haven't been able to secure an interview. No doubt, my lack of recency isn't helping the cause.

Don't let that stop you from applying though. I'm just trying to express the level of competition you're facing, and I'm sure there are others more qualified than me. Best wishes to you in your search. Good luck :)

750Driver - Thanks for a thoughful reply, you're a gentleman for not flaming me! I know you're right, I just drive past it a lot and wanted to stop by and talk to them. It's a tough market in Scottsdale, but try and get the wife to move somewhere else, man that's even tougher!

TDK, no problem. I'm not here to discourage the up and coming talent in our industry, but merely to inform. What you do with the information is totally up to you, but my suggestion is to give it your best effort. If you do that, you can sleep at night knowing you tried your best. I will PM you a contact name.

As far as the wife moving ... my wife is begging me to go out of state! ;) Best of luck in your search.

Nice avatar!

I was thinking the same thing, considering his "name." Makes a Falcon driver proud :D

BTW, did you get a release from NIKE to use that photo? ;)

2000Flyer

Thanks!! (i took it)

I wouldnt necessarily call it a "release." However, as a privacy standpoint, an aircraft that beautiful doesnt exactly leave a small footprint, and it practically begs to be photographed. But I have been in contact with Alex, one of the 2000 pilots...He's supposed to give me a royal tour the next time he comes into SDL :D You can be sure to see them on Airliners.net.

I tried to get a picture myself a couple of weeks ago when they were at my home airport but they did a quick turn and were off. I'm surprised you don't have one of the GV ;)

Do any of you guys know if Bruce Gensemer (sp?) is still with Discount Tire? A few years ago he taught me how the fly the Jetstar, and was a great guy to learn from. Not sure if he's still there though, and they probably don't have the L1329 anymore...

yeah they still have the jetstar. probably one of the cleanest ones flying.
