We're on a Learjet 31A which doesn't have quite the cabin of the Beechjet, but by the numbers being spit out it seems like the Lear is more flexible in terms of loading. For example, our BOW is around 11,300 wih Max TOW of 17000. It holds roughly 4100# fuel... What does the average Beechjet (er.. Hawker 400XP) yield in these terms ???

It's been 5 years since I've flown a Beechjet....but, IIRC, max fuel is something like 4900lbs. The "400XP" has about a 200lb gross weight increase over the BE400A. The BE400A's can have their GW increased that same 200lbs with simply a paperwork change, as far as I know. BOW was about 11,000 on most. 16,100 MGTOW, 16,300 ramp. God only knows why I have this useless trivia(to me) in my head when I can't remember my own phone number half the time. :D
Excuse me, but I flew the Hawker 800's for a while and am having a hard time calling the Beechjet a Hawker... :)
I refuse to call it a "Hawker 400XP". As far as I'm concerned, it is...at best...a Hawker Lite. :)

Frac Capts memory is better than he thought. BOW on ours is 11,000, max ramp at 16,500, Max T/O is 16,300. That leaves rooom for 3 with full fuel. Max fuel is 4912 lbs.

First hour burn is 1500, then 1100, and you can do 1000 the third, if you are FL410 or higher. We just never need the 3rd hour.

I will never call it a hawker either, and I have yet to hear anyone call it that on the radio.

the only differance is that the xp includes all the modifications and the cool Hawker name plate on the yok. Same avionics, same fuel (4912), 16,500 max ramp, same crappy range, now there is a little door on the left side to get your O2 serviced so that you dont have to open the avionics bay. Still drives like truck. No other differances that I can think of.

Its Blasphamy to call it a Hawker

Since when is a Japanese aircraft ever deserving of a British pedigree or legacy?

Nor does it require a special set of tools, or a brinks truck when you leave the maintenace department.

It also does not require you to carry hazmat to anti-ice. (though I will admit that at least it works on a regular basis unlike the beechjets tail)

At leats the americans were able to mod both aircraft to finally fly at real jet speeds.

P.S. No Flames yall,,, just playin
