Hey, I am not one to stir up controversy. (Well ok, maybe sometimes) but last night I rented that Ben Stiller movie Dodge Ball and I couldn't believe my eyes when there was a scene at LAS where they pan the camera on the tarmac and you clearly see America West Airplanes and then they come back into the terminal and shoot a scene at a bar where there is clearly a pilot dressed in an America West uniform sitting at a bar with what appears to be a draft beer. I'm sorry but that's pretty messed up.

P.S. My apologies if you guys chatted about this before. But I don't remember seeing alpa condemning this.

I wondered if anyone else caught that. The even greater irony is that I saw that movie inflight, on a U.S. airline!

Prly not even an actor. Did you remind the person to 'check in' before he had too many and forgets?

It would have been the polite thing to do.

And the 'inflight movie' thing....THAT'S A CLASSIC!

And what would that do?
Hey, if it was my airline/pilot group that was portrayed like that I would want ALPA to say something publicly. Maybe that it doesn't reflect reality. I mean they seem to have an opinion on everything else. Isn't that pretty obvious?

It's a joke, son. Should ALPA cry when Jay Leno makes a joke during his monologue as well? Maybe they should have cried when the Man Show did that (hilarious) sketch at the airport. If it were my pilot group, I'd be pissed off if ALPA came out and represented my group as a bunch of crying whiners (another stereotype that may or may not hold some truth). Relax. Have a beer.
