I think you missed my point. In no way whatsoever am I defending that idiot. What you quoted from me was in reference to my fuel reserve theory. The guy who ran himself outta gas definetly violated 14 CFR 91.13.

Yeah, I did miss it, now I see, it goes back to the previous post.

The guy violated so many regs, and exercised such poor judgement he shouldn't be sitting in the front of an airplane for a long time.

Anyways this story reminds me of the guy that hit wake turbulance flying into boeing field about 5 years ago. He was in a 152 when he hit some wake turb. and ended up in some power lines upside down short of the runway. The poor guy was there over four hours waiting to be rescued.
