Are you instructing or do you just have a CFI certificate? If you are instructing, you need to complete the training and comply with all the b.s. about verifying your student's nationality. (Incidently, if you want to blow the training off, just click on any answer on the test. It's not scored and you'll still get your certificate) Also, the term "flight school" includes independent CFIs. Go to AOPA's website, they have a pretty good FAQ made up regarding this matter.

i am not instructing but maintain a current CFI

I have not "signed off" a student for anything in about 10 years (showing my age)

thanks

Why don't you just do the training? It takes a few hours (or faster if you just click through it). No cost to you!

Btw, i hope you haven't signed anyone off or done other "training activities" since the rule went into effect.

It doesn't take more than 20-30 minutes. Just click thru. Its just common sence and TSA bull s++t. Print tyhe form when you finish and put in in you logbook I guess. Thats it.
