Does anyone have an idea of where to / how to apply with DHL(airborne)?

I would be greatly appreciative if anyone can offer some insight.

There is no "DHL" airline in the US. The old DHL Airways is now ASTAR. DHL's freight in the US is flown by ASTAR and ABX Air.

ASTAR's only domicile is CVG but they are moving to ILN as the hubs consolidate. I don't know when their domicile will officially change to ILN.

ABX Air's primary domicile is ILN but there are about nine DC8 crews domiciled in MIA for the South/Central American/Caribbean charters.

As far as stability... It's too early to tell. We don't know what DHL is going to do long term. Things might be more clear after the hub consolidation is complete.

Do you have to live in base or is possible to commute?And are all the 757's not based in the US?

ILN is in Ohio. Most of our pilots commute.

There are no DHL 757s based in the US. ABX has close to 30 B767s.
