Jus thought I would add some info to the recall situation. The current recall took 9 guys back (1 to mil leave). It took all the way down to the 5th guy from the bottom. With that being said, I have no idea how many people that have bypassed will come back on their second chance. As far as hiring, I can only hope that there will be huge numbers.

I think brand recognition is going to be a big problem for DHL. People use the terms "UPS" and "FedEx" like they use the words "Coke" and "Kleenex". Also, people have been using UPS and FedEx (sometimes interchangeably) for a very long time and may be reluctant to change to a new service.

I think DHL is going to be successful, but I don't see them overtaking UPS or FedEx anytime soon.
I think down the road 3+ years that DHL is going to put a BIG hurtin on UPS and FDX. A worldwide network of basically contract carriers that can be played off one another to keep costs down. FDX and UPS better start taking notice, I see the kind of same thing now that US Air did 14 years ago when the LCC came east. O well guess we will see.

With the projected growth in freight, what makes you think there isn't room for three successful players?

Just wonder who came up with the yellow 'n red paint scheme...;)

But anyway..., competition is always good.

Good luck to you banana bus drivers!

But will the delivery drivers wear red shorts with yellow socks? And pilots with yellow suits with red ties? Then you can find personnel on a dark ramp too!
