Does anyone know of a good airport or area around Detroit to hangar a small plane? I know airnav has plenty of info, just wondering if anyone that has flown GA stuff in or around can recommend anything...

Thanks

Well, we go into DET (Detroit City) all the freakin' time. (there was supposed to be a sad face next to this happy face but it keeps dissappearing when I post) :D They've got a fair number of T-hangars but you will have to deal with signature for fuel. Other than that, it's really not a terrible little airport (two runways, longest is 5090, towered), that is in close proximity to downtown. There is a large number of corporate operations that occur there as well as some large aircraft based there (G4). Most of the line guys do a great job and the CSR's are top notch.

yeah, sorry I don't remember what the Avgas is off the top of my head. The T-hangers aren't much to look at (from the outside, inside, they look ok, but I've only seen them as we taxi by and somebody has their door open). There is also a pilot shop/flight training facility there.
