Follow the leader?

"In late April, Delta asked pilots to accept roughly a one-third cut in pay and other concessions before their contract ends in 2005. The union may decide this week whether to enter concession talks."

"Similar disclosures about planned retention bonuses and pension trusts at American Airlines -- just after it had won wage concessions from unions -- prompted the resignation of its then-CEO, Don Carty."

Delta IS the bar for mainline. If Delta takes cuts . . . I can see it now. "Delta's taking cuts, why can't YOU take cuts to remain competitive?"

Support Delta or see your own salary go down the tubes! Good luck guys! Don't let managment give themselves $ while you get a cut!

Okay… I’m not a big fan of unions, (There I said it to qualify myself) Also I’ve never worked for an airline in any capacity and I don’t want to…

Sometimes my political leanings get in the way of me looking clearly at issues groups such as ALPA make issue over, but just how in the hell can airline upper management keep a straight face, ask for 1/3 pay cuts then take **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** like this?

I know the world is full of idiots but **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**!!!

And to think, just a couple of weeks ago Publisher told me there are many good managers in this business. Well, there you go.
