Thank GP. Does anyone know if this is in-line with standard Labor Day reductions? If so, then really nothing new.

I read they were stopping JFK to Rome (normally a year round flight) this Winter, which is something they have never done. Of course Alitalia is now our Joint Venture partner, so they will continue it obviously. United (CAL) also announced the same for EWR to FCO this winter, which they haven't done before either. The economies tanking over there is to blame, and running flights over there during their slow period, losing money, probably isn't the right thing to do. I believe both airlines will resume flights there in the Spring. I think Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Greece are really going to get hit hard soon, and many of the European airlines (AF, KL, LH, etc) are having huge losses as we speak.

Bye Bye--General Lee
