Delta: How long does it take to hold a line at LAX vs SLC?

I'm a new hire at Delta, class starts 18 Feb. I'm trying to decide on my first bid; how long does it take to hold a line in any aircraft in LAX vs. SLC?

To hold a line at SLC or LAX? A long time since both bases are senior. You'll hold a line quicker at NYC on the MD88.

Thanks for the welcome, I'm assuming my first few months will be out of NYC. I'm hoping to stay on the west coast. I've heard an 88 out of SLC is quicker than anything in LAX.

I heard I have to make a decision my first day on the job, just trying to get some poop before showing up.
