I remember seeing a thread about a Delta FA getting suspended for posing in her uniform on her website. Well, she was on national TV this moring on one of those moring shows. I guess she was fired. Wow, what publicity. She had her attorney by her side. Her claim was she was depressed so she did it to cheer herself up. I do not think so, I think her job was a good way to flirt and she probably got a lot of attention. She also said Delta denied her umemployment benefits?

I have noticed when individuals are, "fired" at non-union carriers, there are more facts then we know about. This episode might of been the "tip of the iceberg." Who knows.

I also recall two SWA pilots were taking nude pictures in the cockpit, but they were not fired if I am correct, or were they?

Anyway, I thought is was interesting, they showed the pictures on national tv!

This should be interesting.

Why don't you ask English, 350 Driver and/or A-Squared to rehash that thread for you....... ;)

She did some pretty dumb things. I don't know that she deserved to be fired, but I can certainly see why DAL did what they did. Go read her blog and you'll get an idea.

Here's the link: http://queenofsky.journalspace.com/

Personally, I think she's full of sh!t. After looking at the pix of her in uniform in an aircraft, she disrespected her employer and the uniform she wears. Regardless of the state of the industry, it's fact.

Fire away flamers.

First my apoligies.

What the f*ck is wrong with the US.

One nipple during the super bowl and the whole country goes friggin’ nuts.

There are approx. 270.000.000 female nipples in the US alone.

So it’s not THAT unique. (I agree, not all of those are that pleasant to look at)

A flight attendant in just regular pictures and they fire her!!

Howard Stern has to go to satellite radio because of censorship.

BUT,…..

One Marine shooting someone (for whatever reason) and I can’t switch to a channel without getting brainwashed. (kids watch the news too!!)

One brawl at the NBA and I can’t watch tv any more without seeing that over and over for a couple of weeks to come. (kids watch sports too!!)

Ah well, what happened to the days when sex was safe and flying was dangerous……

If those "regular pictures" weren't taken on a Delta plane, with her in her Delta uniform, complete with Delta wings and company ID, she might get a pass on this, but to do all this and then play the victim is pretty sad. What the H#ll did she think was going to happen when the pictures came to the attention of Delta? A bankruptcy-proof pension, 1,000,000 Delta dollars, and snack mix for life?

High profile companies tend to take their image pretty seriously and try to protect it if at all possible. To me, this isn't even a borderline case, she F'ed up and should pay the consequences. Probably won't happen though.

(shaking head in disbelief)

A small, miniscule piece of an ordinairy bra and whooptidoo we have indescent exposure, behaviour and whatever else.
I don't know, but they should then also fire all the pilots who are not properly dressed (no hat, no tie, etc)
See where I'm going.
I bet you, I can find a dozen pictures without too much effort on the internet of pilots in uniform with a beer in their hand.

Come on, grow up and move on

Dang 7B2, are you in kahoots with this chick or what?

Your arguments are sounding as hollow as hers.

HER PHOTOS WERE DISCRACEFUL TO THE COMPANY, AND WERE TOTALLY INAPPORPIATE. Sure, they weren't X-rated images or anything, but that doesn't make them appropriate.

And yes, without her wearing the uniform, and not being on a Delta plane... Delta would've had zero grounds for firing. But she was wearing the uniform on a Delta plane, so she got what she deserved!

She's just looking to make a quick buck, and indulge her self esteem by having all the attention she can get.

LOL, absolutely not; she's fair at best after a few beers.
But, what's the big friggin' fuss about.
They avarege Joe is unable to tell what company uniform she's wearing (in "the" pictures). If Delta played it smart they would have kept their mouths shut; now they're just aggrevating the situation.

All I was trying to point out is that it is ok to see violence, shootings, robberies and what else not on tv and in the news, but everybody goes through the roof when there's a bra or nipple showing.

And beside that, you have to go "hunt" for these pictures (not anymore obviously) on the internet in order to even see them, unlike killings etc that are "just" on tv and in the daily news.

Don't get me wrong, I know what you're saying and I aggree to some extend, but if it is up to these companies and FCC etc, we're slowly moving to a "Brave New World"

Oh, I miss those days when your local mechanic had pinups on the wall.
It's becoming way too uptight.

I would put 100 dollars and give 10 to 1 on there being an odd number of female nipples.
Now ROFL,
There's more to that story.
But I do know of one chick with 3 nipples that did a naked skydive in 7B2....
If you know a different triple-nippler that makes it even again though.
:)

-Indecent exposure? Apples to oranges. We're not talking about a crime, more like company policy. This is someone who had some inappropriate pictures taken of herself in company uniform, on company property, and was stupid enough to post them on the internet. You are correct that a "miniscule piece of an ordinary bra" is not all that offensive in and of it's self. Had she been out of uniform, at a bar having her toes sucked, a flash of bra would be marginally amusing at best and nothing more would have come of it. That's not what happened here though. Everywhere I have worked "professionally" has had some sort of policy outlining the conduct that was expected while on the job and while representing the company (i.e in uniform!), and I'll go out on a limb and say that Delta has a similar policy. This is not a censorship issue, she violated company policy and must deal with the consequences. Why is that so hard to understand?

I don't know, but they should then also fire all the pilots who are not properly dressed (no hat, no tie, etc)

-Not unless they took pictures of themselves with no hat, no tie, etc and posted them on the internet. A little talk from the CP would most likely fix the problem. Who knows, maybe if she simply took down the photos she might still have a job, but I get the feeling she's not someone who's all that interested in listening to what anyone else has to say. even if it's constructive.

See where I'm going.
I bet you, I can find a dozen pictures without too much effort on the internet of pilots in uniform with a beer in their hand.

-And if their company found out about the pictures, they would be out on their ear as well. But then they wouldn't have the opportunity to take it on national TV because they would likely be male, and all pilots are drunks anyway, right?.

Come on, grow up and move on

Sounds like something a certain unemployed Flight Attendant should do!

Hey, didn't we already have this discussion... LOL !!

(I just searched through the archives and couldn't dig out the old thread, but all you that participated will remember!)

Shamrock,
It's amazing what a search comes up with.
Try one yourself and you'll find pictures of kids "behind the wheel" when in the air, you'll find pilots with a drink in their hand in uniform, pilots with guns (ok, I'll leave that alone).

I understand what you're saying, BUT that doesn't mean they should have fired her ass. (and yes she's a total knucklehead)

Ah well, I've spend way too much time here today, so back to www.thehun.com (Shamrock, that might be an upsetting website :))

Hey 350driver, you've got me wondering now.

That chick is HOT!!!!! Now tell her to come home to Daddy, I hate it when she wanders off.

7b2,

You naughty boy! Does your girl know about you looking at that site.. ;)

I'm not gonna read the Queen's blog, but does she ever mention whether she supported the AFA in the vote a few years ago?

A contract sure would come in handy about now. She'd be in grievance hearings instead of whining to Matt Lauer.

User997,

Who is that on your Avatar?

It was not just the pictures either. It was obvious from her narratives who she worked for, and she was constantly complaining about the passengers, posting "rules" for passengers, saying how stupid passengers are, complaining about her fellow employees, and bad mouthing the gate agents from the carrier she commuted on. DAL has enough public relations problems right now.

And if it is, please tell yourself that it was just a couple times in Cleveland, and I promise it didn't mean anything!

OK 7B2, you got me with that drinking in uniform point. I guess they do exist, but searching the internet for photos of drunks in pilot uniforms never really crossed my mind. Seems to me that if someone is dumb enough to be photographed drinking in uniform and then goes on to post it themselves on the internet, they deserve whatever they get, just as this dingbat FA does. I just don't understand how this becomes a censorship issue. Nobody is denying her any of her rights. She made a stupid decision, taking it beyond simply posting the pictures, and refuses to accept any responsibility for her actions.

It's her "I don't like that policy, so it shouldn't apply to me" attitude that annoys me.

To flaunt her distaste and disregard for her company on the internet is pretty childish, but then again, if everyone got fired for that there would alot more unemployed pilots bickering on Flightinfo. D@mn, I guess I just kinda proved your point, didn't I?

Ah well, I still think they were justified firing her. I wouldn't want someone like that representing me if I worked at Delta.

I appreciate your honesty Shamrock.

I also believe she's a "real blonde" and they fired her for the reasons you've posted before and really do understand why they did, but........ you know....

That censorship thing is more of a general statement.
That's more to address the uptightness that's present in the US about nudity.

Really, that Janet Jackson nipple at the Super Bowl....
If it wasn't for the f*cking a$$holes on tv pointing it out I wouldn't have tripped over the f*cking dog on the way back from the fridge with a beer in my hand

PS. I'm going for another beer so pardon me for the spelling and the language, because I just passed my type rating v-ride

Actualy it's more fun too shift to that triple-nipple thingy
