15.08 Delta delays segment and mileage fees for pass travel 01/15/2008 Due to Delta programming delays, employees will not be charged for Delta domestic travel under the following programs in January:

· The $5.00 per segment and $.01 per mile fees for employees, spouse and eligibles will not be incurred for Delta travel in January.

· Parents and retirees will not be charged for Yield Fare travel on mainline Delta in January.

Things that make you go hmmm.

Well Wippity-skippity-big-freakin- deeeee!!!!

Will CHQ/Shuttle America employess be paying these new Delta fees for non-rev travel or are they also exempt for January?

A stay of execution for all of us "little guys". Don't worry, rest assured that Delta is still looking for ways to make profits off the backs of employees everywhere.

And its probably just for bonuses for all the executives. You know its hard to keep all those smart executives up there.

It's not just DAL management. DALPA has been fighting for our pass benefits to be stripped ever since we got them. DALPA filed a grievance (and lost) in 2000 over us getting DOH S2/S3 pass benefits. Not looking for much help from them, even though they seem to be enjoying the status quo what with gate agents cheating and giving them priority on ASA planes.

FWIW, in nov RGT SH said to be thankful that it is being delayed and he wouldn't be surprised if it continued for a while.

This whole episode of the pay to fly and the yanking of ID 90's reaks of "we fought to get it back for you, aren't we a great management team" when it probably wasn't going anywhere to start with.

Excellent point. I think that would be a page straight out of the SkyWest "Stockholm Syndrome" play book.
