Delta cancelling some SkyWest flying

SLC Tribune Reports some SkyWest flying out of SLC getting cancelled to save the company $400 million.

Anyone know where these airplanes will be re-allocated to? The MD88's are filling in for some of the 757 flying - so the large RJ's may pick up some more of the 88's current flying.

Anybody flying 50 seaters is gonna start hurting. CHQ is parking the 135s and had already set the plan in motion to park all the 145s in the next few years. Skywest, ASA and Comair (along with all the rest are going to watch this happen to them in '08).

TAWS said it best, anyone flying 50 seaters is gonna be in the hurt bag. Its sad that there are still major airlines that are still utilizing these things. Its also sad that $100 oil is what it takes to finally realize that these are not viable airplanes. Maybe there's a small amounts of hope for this airplane on the east coast still but thats all I see.
