I just got back from DFW and saw about 20 DAL pilots in uniform walking with signs and looking unhappy. What's going on and are they doing it everywhere or just here in Dallas?

There was informational picketing at DFW today. Is this KT? I thought I saw JR getting out of the vehicle. Hope all is well.

It's going on everywhere. DAL pilots have been picketing in DFW, MCO, SLC, LAX, CVG, ATL and BOS. The Strike Preparedness Committee has a 10,000sq-ft HQ in ATL with over two dozen tracking/communications computer stations up and running. A very well organized effort.

linedog, I sent you a PM.

:cool:Good luck guys, I wish I could have been there to walk with you! It always seems that I am flying when these things happen. Good Luck!

Good luck-I am pulling for all of you at Delta. Would you allow pilots from other companies to walk along-side you in support? If so, shoot me a pm, I'd be glad to do any small part to help.

Saw the clip on CNN last night. The coverage was great, national, in prime time, and sympathetic to the pilots point of view. Great job!!

I'm one of those who would agree with you, but as of lately, even the senior guys I fly with on the ER are willing to do what it takes to stand firm on the line! (not to sound like the General) This is a company where the avg age of the wide body cpts is in their late 40's (sucks for us younger guys because of upgrade and stagnation). The senior fellows are now gone. A much more (for lack of a better word) militant group.
Then again, we've shown that in the past, we're willing to bend over.
We'll see.

Don't count them out I think they have had enough. I hope we will have the guts to do what they are getting ready for.

Who is that in your avatar Uppercrust?

Frank Abagnale Jr. The guy who used to ride around on TWA as a pilot during the 60's while traveling around the country cashing bad checks. The movie Catch Me if You Can portrayed Abagnale.

yeah..i hope not...my buddies are in their 30's and thinking of leaving to netjets or corporate flying due to the reason you stated..upgrades could take years...i hope it all works out..

memtrash....a golfball just went flying thru my yard and hit the neighbors window...are you on the t-box again?

OK thanks. I recognize the face now.

Man, I hit the ball a long way and never straight, but you live miles from a course. Not sure if you are acknowledging my longer drives (since I out drive you and your high dollar equipment) or my nack for never hitting a fairway.

I liked the book much better than the movie! A good read.
