K...I have a question for you guys that maybe working on degrees so you
can go on the the majors...(when ever that is)

Before you can take some of the classes, you have to have a certain level of
experience in flight time or Certificates and or licenses...right? Well if you have them already, do you still have to take the affiliated courses? Someone may have told me wrong but they said some of the courses you don't have to take because if you have gotten most of your tickets, that proves you know about these and therefore you don't have to take the courses????

An aviation degree is nearly useless and I planned on Getting something else...just a question though.....

I would imagine that this would vary from school to school, but at my school, you are required to have certain certificates before you can take high-level classes. For example, before being able to enroll in CFI ground, you must have your commercial ticket.

If you already have your license or rating, then you can challenge those classes, which usually involve a checkride-type test. Pass, and you get credit. Depending on whether the school is 141 or not, all of your hours may not count in terms of fulfilling syllabus requirements, though.
