I would appreciate some assistance from crewmembers flying for companies who regularly deadhead to assignments.

Our airline performs a great deal of ACMI flying, frequently involving long commercial deadheads worldwide. Our travel is Coach, no matter what the duration/distance. When you travel at your company, what cabin are your tickets purchased for, Coach, Business, or First?

Thanks for everyone's help with this!

unfortunately we are also coach unless we have more than an 18 hour duty day... I have heard some BS about the IRS trying to tax the crewmember for business/ first as this is supposedly a benefit.

At most airlines that I have been with, coach class was ordered for Domestic travel. Business class of more than a 6 hour flight duration was used for international.

We get business class for any block time over five hours.

At my airline for on-line travel the F.O. gets Business Class and the Captain First Class. The Purser will usually give the F.O. a First Class seat if one is available. Offline, the booking is Business Class.

Business class for Int'l

I believe our contract says business class, if available, for international flights. Domestic would be coach. I know I've been able to get business class for my commercial deadheads to Europe.
