Meaning they'll staple Comair or Mesaba/Compass/Pinnacle to the bottom so they can get furloughed instead of the Delta guys? Sounds like an interesting idea, but unlikely.

Not the first pilot group to have that idea..... Hasn't worked in the past.

I thought Staples had that nice big easy button!!

Anybody deserves better than flushing down to Comairland ... even the Double-breasted guys.

u r an idiot

Heard DAL wants a staple from a regional to give some furlough fodder before the merger.

Title says it all. When did any management group care about what happens to the pilots. That pretty much is all there is to say about that.

Who said it was mgmts idea? The only pilot group out there with an ego big enough to believe they are above furlough is Delta. I am sure if this is true, it is their idea.

dummest thread in history

Either aero made this up, or it was made up by a manager of a regional getting hammered by attrition rates who wants to slow the bleeding by applying the band aid of false hope.

A handful of Delta pilots realize one list would reward the DCI pilots with the International growth (DAL trying to hire 400 by summer) while protecting pilots who might be displaced by the retirement of DC-9's in favor of E-Jets and Large RJ's. These pilots are a small minority and ALPA does not have One List on the agenda, best I can tell.

- ALPA recently replied to a letter advising that Scope was not being renegotiated with the merger negotiations.

- The press has been reporting a combined pilot number equal to the current NWA/DAL lists. So from every corner a "staple" has not been talked about.

- The new Comair MEC Chair said such negotiations were not taking place.

Fins,

Sounds like a bunch of seniority grabbers are at work again.

If you want a sniority number and a job with Delta, then apply and interview! If you have the right stuff or Daddy, then maybe you will be successful!

Don't kid yourself. With the recession coming and $100 oil, there's going to be lots of furloughs. No furlough clauses have never been worth the paper they're written on.
