This is, of course, assuming that ASA and Comair are able to get financing for their new aircraft with their parent company in bankruptcy. Just ask the folks over at PSA what can happen to new aircraft deliveries once a CH 11 is filed by the parent company.bailout said:I was referring to ASA/COMair, not Skyway. Who the heck knows about that deal.
Horrible analogy... PSA acquired numerous new jets after U filed Ch 11. It wasn't until the SECOND Ch 11 that the financing was pulled. There is plenty of money to be had while in BK.Just ask the folks over at PSA what can happen to new aircraft deliveries once a CH 11 is filed by the parent company.
If thats the case, then yes, it was a poor analogy. I wasn't aware that they had new jets coming in during the first bankruptcy. Just like all of you I have my fingers crossed that the growth can continue at ASA and Comair both.chperplt said:Horrible analogy... PSA acquired numerous new jets after U filed Ch 11. Relax. I was recently offered an October Beech class. Personnel said that nothing's for sure, but it's still moving in the right dir with Delta. Possibility of a November D328 class. If the Delta deal dies for sure, I and other new hires will be furloughed. That's the airline game.....Justino said:Good point fallingbrick.... You guys heard anything concrete?
PSA started taking delivery of their new regional jets once USAir came out of the first bankruptcy in March of 2003, not while they were still in.Horrible analogy... Yep, they do....I guess I will see you and Justino in the school house soon.Skyrtr said:Relax. I was recently offered an October Beech class.Do all of Skyway's have EFIS and Flight Dir (I know, no autopilot...).
Connection's growth had little to do with the demise of DFW. If anything it prevented it from happening a year ago.amcnd said:I think Delta learned there lesson in DFW, and won't grow connection. I also think the same thing is going on in PIT, with USair.
Thats what I had thought originally....although I wish chperplt were right.SRJ said:PSA started taking delivery of their new regional jets once USAir came out of the first bankruptcy in March of 2003, not while they were still in.
zzzzzz.... huh? wha? yup. I was in the last class at PSA, first to get the furlough notice. If DAL files I would guess that there will be at the very least a delay in any new jets going to COM or ASA. I do think that ASA will be more conservative in the number of pilots they bring on board if that is a realistic possibility. In 25 years of business ASA hasn't furloughed. (please correct me if that info is wrong).chperplt said:Horrible analogy... PSA acquired numerous new jets after U filed Ch 11. It wasn't until the SECOND Ch 11 that the financing was pulled.
