Yeah, got the same one - got my hopes up for a minute!

Add me to that list as well. Sure would be nice if that meant they were really looking at it. Also, did everyone else get 6 bullet points on it?

-Blucher

These are the sticking points that they are having with the apps. They forgot the Radiotelephone permit. It was a complete omission. The ten year thing is on there, but it was not easy to read.
What they are doing is making it known that this stuff better be in order IF you are called. It makes the interview easier on all involved, and easier to see who can follow directions. If not you are out. If you fail the interview the game is up forever at DAL.

If that's the case I find it odd that they say in bullet 6 that you shouldn't put anything already listed in your driving record in the addendum section. The question in the addendum section very clearly asks for ALL felony/misdemeanors/infractions with the exception of "parking tickets." Kind of puts you in a bad spot when the "official application" is in direct conflict with a letter from "Airline Apps Support."

-Blucher

If you look at the review application section of the contract, and select delta it will make a little more sense.
That section in question does not show up unless there is a yes.
It shows the parking/speeding ticket section from the general part of the application. It is all covered when you look at it thorugh this function. The is what the interviewers are looking at, and have reviewed when you are interviewed.
I hope this is a little clearer than mud.

Well therein lies the problem. I am a violent felon with a "trespassing" history that prompts my other psychotic disorder....speeding once every 3-7 years.
What would you suggest I put in that spot?

-Blucher

I put every speeding ticket, or moving violation that I have ever had on there. They actually thanked me for being so honest.

I got the same email, so did 3 buddies of mine.

Looks like it's a standard thing, like CRJ dude up there is saying. Wouldn't get too worked up over it or anything.

It DID get my blood pressure up until I talked to 2 or 3 other buddies about it.

Lear- You looking to come down Virginia Ave. to widgetland? I don't know if you could handle me being senior to you. :)

Hey man, I didn't know you'd gotten on down there, congratulations!

I like AirTran, definitely wouldn't take a lateral move or go back to some regional outfit, but I'm not going to turn a blind eye to possibly improve my career.

Evidently lots of guys are thinking similar thoughts. 30 AAI pilots resigned last month. 1/3 of them were F/O's. If that keeps up it's going to hurt our bottom line DRAMATICALLY. Figure a conservative 250 a year attrition at $35,000 each to train = $8,750,000 - that's a sizable chunk of our net income last year.

Plus, I've been chasing a DAL interview since the mid-90's. Finally thought I was getting somewhere when I had cigars and wine with Plato's hiring team in April of 2001 in L.A.

We all know how things went after that.

When's your class?

Hey ACL65PILOT-

If I get past day 1, do they ask you to not eat past a certain time of night for the cough, cough the next day? The girlfriend needs to know whether or not to cancel Valentines Day dinner Wed. night.......one more thing for me to deal with b4 this interview!

Thanks.

I have waited five years to go back and reinterview, I can wait a few more months.

Obviously what you're posting is false...you're saying that you've waited 5 years to "re-interview"...so, you must have been turned down the first time, but just got another chance...so i guess the DAL game wasn't up forever...

Word on the street is that the magic number is 2 for interview attempts at big D. If you try twice and don't get it, you're done forever with them.

they ask you not to eat past midnight the night prior to day 2 (and don't get drunk after getting the job offer after day 1!); tip: try to get the earliest Concerta (medical) appointment the next day--you'll be done way before everybody else and can eat a lot quicker too. skipping breakfast/coffee sucks! there is a TGIFriday's next to the psych eval though, so don't fret!

Regarding tickets

I live in Texas and have had 2 speeding tickets that were removed by doing driver's ed. The only thing showing on my driving record for this is "Driving Safety Course".

The tickets were dismissed. What should I put on my Delta App regarding these tickets that were dismissed?

i would say put any and every ticket you've EVER had. my NDR is scott clean so i didn't put anything on my airlineapps.com application, but i did tell the interviewers about my two tickets i got about 17 years ago (a moving violation and an expired registration). they didn't seem to mind, but they did write it in manually on the application and i still got the conditional job offer.

First, I was hired in 01 and never went to class. That is why I had to reinterview. I did not get turned down. It is not false, sorry. There are a few people on here that did not pass the interview phase, ask them. They were told that you are only given one chance at the interview to be a DAL pilot.
I had three speeding tickets in the last 13 years. They did not seem to care as long as you are honest.
I think that if you were turned down before, ie 01 or earlier, you may be able to get another one. All I am saying is that if you fail this time, you are done.
What Crewdog says is true, you have to fast before the medical. The locals generally get the 7 am and the guys in the hotel get the 8 am appts. It is to check the bood sugar and urine.
FWIW.

Because he's non-confrontational, generally fun, and relatively harmless.

If you don't like him, put him on your ignore list.

The rest of us enjoy it - nice break from the mud-slinging and crap that usually goes on here. :)

where is the passport info and over 21 question that the email speaks of?

Almost drove myself crazy looking for this too, but it's actually just staring us in the face. The 21-year question just verifies that you are, indeed, over 21. It's under the My Personal Data section - General, halfway down. The passport info is right underneath it.

Although it sounds like we all got a carbon-copy of the same bulleted email, it is NOT an indication that you've actually made mistakes on the app. As someone pointed out, I think it's just a list of frequent mistakes....Good luck all!!
