Anyone know why United/ Mesa stopped the DAB IAD service?

According to a TSA agent (i know such a reputable refrence) he said Airtran isn't doing to well in DAB either and they may pull out soon. No flights posted on airtran.com past July 9th.

Ive flown Airtran from Atlanta to Daytona Beach several times and those flights have been pretty full.

I did it three weeks ago. That being said we picked up SAT from ord route recently I believe maybe it was a trade

From what I heard, delta has lowered their DAB fares to make it hard for airtran to make any profit. They are flying all MD80's where thy used to have a CRJ / MD80 mix. Delta is using a similar plan when they competed with Independence air.

Skywest just added DAB to the Jepp charts but I dont think we do anything in IAD (yet).

We shadow Airtran a lot on the delta side. Once E-175s come (if thats true) but if so, I expect Delta to use our 175s against Airtran.
