I know SWA had us show up for the interview with a current Class 1 medical - anybody know if the same is true for training?
Thanks!

I would think a current medical is required in training. I would say "current everything" is the rule of thumb when being hired (actually by anyone, but...) by such a desirable major

you dont want glitches or problems at this stage

Yes

Everything should be current. You will provide your license and FAA medical to the check airman at your initial PC prior to you IOE.

Cheers

I'm pretty sure you do. I don't have any literature in front of me, but I know you need to be current, it happened to me by 3 days.

You will need a current 1st class medical (within 6 months) for the first day of new-hire class. It can lapse to a 2nd class after that including your PC and IOE. You will also have to get a 1st class every year until you make Captain. Check with the People Department if you have any questions.

Good luck,
