My wife is a current Delta FA. She has been on leave for a little over a year (as we now have a 7 month old son). She is suppose to go back to work in May. She is thinking of quiting, but I think she should try to hold on and work minimum. She has 11 years and she is ATL based.

Do you think it is possible for her to work 2 (2) day trips per month or less. Or maybe PLOC's after the summer is over?

We need to money but not bad enough for her to work a full months sked.

Can anyone offer us some advice. All of her classmates that she was in training with have either quit or work a full sked, so they might have a slightly different idea of what is possible.

Very nice Dog. I'm sure you helped him tremendously. Did you miss the part where he stated that he and his wife have a new baby? I do believe that he plans to STAY MARRIED to this wife. Sorry you are bitter with the way your life has turned out.

XKuz - Go to www.flightattendants.org and ask...there are Delta f/a's that will answer that for you.

...

Thanks

Sorry not a DL FA but....I recently went through this at AA after my maternity leave and all other leaves were exhusted. I ended up resigning, though, I was at the bottom of the list anyway (6years) so I could never have counted on part time in my base or being able to dump my crappy trips, plus we both commute. Good Luck to you and wife no matter what decision you make. For what its' worth I do miss flying (and my passes!!) but, I would not trade a plane full of whinney passangers for being able to stay home with my daughter (even on the bad days and we do have those!)! On the flip side I do have classmates at other AA bases who are able to make it work by flying partime.
