Anyone out there go to Cuba before? The boss really wants to go to Cuba. I have contacted Universal and this not a real easy one to plan off hand. I am sure that there is a way to do it, but it looks like it is going to take some work.

Thank-you in advance for all info. Please feel free to PM me.

Can an "N" number aircraft go to Cuba legally? The boss was thinking about going there last year. It seems like we finally settled on flying to a neighboring country and putting the family on a commercial flight. The idea fizzled out and we never went.

I'd love to go. Might be smart to stake out some beach front property to develop after Fidel kicks the bucket.

There are certain operators certified (permitted) to go there. It's better to go with one of them. Some of our people HAD to go fishing there a few years ago. One got sick and nearly died before they could airlift him out.

So much for the highly acclaimed (by liberals) Cuban medical system...

Can't wait for Castro to croak so we can start bringing the country out of the 18th century.TC

My former girlfriend (Phd in Nursing) was invited by the Cuban govt. to review their nursing practices. I sat through the presentation when she got back. You DON'T want to be hospitalized there.

However, I wouldn't mind checking out the fishing, food, surfing, old American cars...:)

If memory serves me, you have to get approval from the Department of Treasury (or maybe even State) to get clearance to Cuba. I know many take their folks to Mexico and let them airline in. Also, Canadian airlines operate to/from Cuba. I think you're in for some serious red tape trying to get a private flight in there. I'll check with a buddy who has taken a 2000 in there in the last couple of years and see whats required....

...stay tuned...
