Interesting topic considering recent events.

thought I'd share for all you csi/aviation dorks out there.

it's only been on for 20 minutes. The plane was brought down by a citizen near the airport that was upset that aircraft were flying near his house past midnight so he threatened to bring an aircraft down. So he shown a laser at the aircraft and blinded the pilot. He had corneal scarring.

I saw it...they guy brought down a Gulfstream II with a laser pointer. Neat trick.

(Actually, it was a G-2 when it went down. It was a Falcon 10 in the computerized recreation. The wreckage was a mixed bag of Astra and KingAir. In the flashbacks, it was a Citation.)

They did include two plot points that I thought were highly realistic. First of all, the owner of the air freight company referred to himself and his pilots as "freight dogs." And after the accident, he was far more concerned about the load of checks the plane was carrying than he was about the condition of the pilots or the cause of the crash.

Very realistic, from what I hear! :D

I saw the first 10 minutes or so...then lost interest and got up and walked away. As it was going over the pool, it seemed to be a full size Gulfstream(not one of those G100 abominations)....but after it crashed, it was an Astra! I did, however, like the uniforms of the pilots.....jeans, T-shirts, and baseball hats! :D
