Have been surfing the net today and stumbled accross this new airline called Crystal Airways. Don't know when they are going to start up, but their business plan sounds solid. Will fly CRJ 200s, 737ng, 757, 767-300ers out of Tampa. A very possible canidate for anyone needing a job. And we all know that there are plenty of us who do. GO TO

Be sure to check out their interiors you won't be disapointed!

I've been following this company's attempts at start-up for several years. While it sounds interesting, I don't think they will find any start-up capital..expecially in this economic climate.

BTW..the original plan was for all 757s with 96 seats. I see they have broadened their fleet plans to include just about everyting.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to start. Like I say, their website has been up for over two years, if not longer...and all the while, they say they are still seeking financing.

I just checked out the website and those interiors are awesome. I'd love to have a flight attendant serving me filet mignon while I was up front doing my job. The idea seems interesting but its a tough industry out there. I guess we'll see what happens.

This has been tried in the past and has failed each time. The only airline that has had moderate success with this concept is Midwest Express.

Ultrair started back in the late '80's or early '90's and was out of business within about a year and a half. However, they used B727's, a relatively inefficient aircraft.

Cheers!
