Hello everyone,

I am planning a cross country from Orlando (KORL) to Miami (KTMB). I have never flown more than 100nm away from the Central Florida area on any x-countries and have made most of my hours just doing short $100 hamburger flights under 50nm and not counted towards the 50 hours I now need for my IFR rating.

My question is what should I expect during this flight? I plan on getting flight following immediately out of ORL. Should I plan a flight avoiding major airspaces, or with the flight following will I be vectored on a more direct path through Orlando and Miami class B? Also, is there a good chance my flight following will get dropped halfway through the flight leaving me to reintercept my pre-planned course?

Any advice is appreciated!
