Just got the interview packet in the mail and was wondering if anyone knew about QOL at ATI, average hours flown a month, MX, and are there any bases? Also how was the training there? Thanks for the help......

Ahhh, I see from the search on this site that everybody that applies gets an application but only a handful gets called.... damn oh well.

I guess there is no one from ATI on this site, I have searched as well and have only found vague info on quality of life scheds, pay, benefits, etc. Would be nice to hear some detail.

I received an application packet this morning. I only have 1200tt (with A and P exp. on b747, dc10,a340,etc..., though) so I guess they really send it to anyone.

ATI, in my opinion, is one of the best out there. The crewmembers are a great bunch of people. The relationship with management is above average for an airline. The schedules have something for everyone, short domestict, long international. The hotels are not ghetto. Pay is not bad, and hopefully will go up this year. It's not UPS or FEDEX, but that is a good thing in a way. Sometimes smaller is better, and being home based is priceless.

Hey DC8:
Thanks for the insight, but I am guessing that it is true that they do send an app to everyone. I sitting around 2000, 900 SIC, which I know can't be anywhere near enough. Should I just keep chugging along and reapply in a couple of years?

I think that they send out a lot of apps. Roll the dice, you never know until you try.

Hey DC-8 FR8 thats is an cool avatar! Too bad I never got to fly in a pax DC-8.

Me either, it was great part of aviation history. They are still going strong, there is nothing like them.

My friend was hired at ATI just about a year ago. He had 2100tt, 1400mulit, and 1000turbine part 121 sic. He was flying a Dash 8 for about 1 year prior. Their mins are fairly common, but I don't know what the trick is to get an interview. Good luck.
