Hi,
I fly corporate in a cheyenne IIXL. We fly about 500 hours a year and use a two pilot crew. Not many overnights or weekends but many long days. I am also responsible for washing the aircraft, cleaning and maintaining hangar, and coordinating maintenance and keeping up with paper work. How much should I make. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you are the chief pilot/captain? Except for washing the airplane, it sounds like the other pilot kinda works for you, if you're responsible for maintenance and paperwork. It depends on the part of the country you live, but in the midatlantic region, I would say somewhere around 50-55k to start with annual salary reviews and raises. I think that would be fair for a 3000 hour ATP without other non-aviation office duties.

Whenever I used to fly over 30 hours or so a month, I'd have a hard time keeping the wings and nacelles clean. I'd have someone else do it and the charges were never questioned.

I'd have to say...

Hello all,

I work at a large training facility and am lucky to have a lot of contact with a lot of different aircrews from all over the country. Though I don't ask, many of our colleages will "ballpark" their salaries and benefits and compare amongst themselves while in class... I would have to say that 50,000 to 55,000 is about right, with training and reasonable health insurance included, based on what I'm hearing. I hope that you're close!

Good luck mi amigo!

Jason

that will buy a lot of steelhead flies... as long as the girlfriend doesn't get to it first.

More info.

I'll add a little more information to see if I am getting under paid as much as it sounds. Not all of my flying is in the cheyenne. We also operate a chieftain and I fly that a good 50 percent of the time. Between the two aircraft we average 900 to 1000 hours a year. I go to school yearly on the cheyenne and the company pays for it. Good benefits and descent schedule but my salary is significantly lower than 55k. Anymore input on what I should be paid is appreciated.
