Corporate overseas??

Has anyone left the US for a job that required them to locate overseas, say to Bahrain, and then after 5 or so years had difficulty finding employment again in the US? I've been offered a corporate gig in the middle east, but likely don't want to stay there permanently. Any experiences or anecdotes? Advice?

I cant see it being a huge problem?...the only challenge is that you are out of th eloop a bit with whats going on at home in the states...but with the amount of overseas travel going on these days you will also catch up with crews/friends in China, Dubai, Europe...wherever you go!

I would do it if I was single, no responsibilities...why not?

Only thing to consider is that its Bahrain...not the friendliest place for an American these days...Baghdad its not, but there have been some travel warnings over the last year or so.

Dubai...now well, thats another story!!
