Hey guys...does anyone have any info on Corporate Flight Management. It's a company based in Smyrna TN. I have an interview coming up here is a couple of days, and I was wondering if anyone is working for them? has worked for them or if there is someone here who is or has had an interview with them.
They seem like a good group of people, good equipment and upgrades are farely fast. If anyone out there can give me some feedback on this company I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Great guys, I fly with a former pilot from CFM. Expect low pay, a very busy schedule and staying in rather dumpy hotels when on the road. He reported staying out as much as 18 days straight once, with 7 plus being normal when running a shuttle for someone all the while racking up serious points with Motel Six and having to break up domestic disputes in order to get sleep..

Not the worst 135 operator out there by a long shot.

I worked there for a year and never stayed at a Motel 6. Racked up enough Holiday Inn points for 7 nights at the Crown Plaza in London though. I did fly a lot, and worked up to 13 days straight at times, though on a lot of those days I went to work at 6 am and was home by noon or went in at 2pm and got home at 8.

The company does a lot of shuttle work, though one contract ended recently so there may not be as many overnights now. I only did three overnights that werent related to the now defunct shuttle operation.

If you are competent and have some turbine time you probably will look at a quick upgrade. Unfortunately money is not that good, and scheduling will put the pressure on, but if you are in the right and stand up to them you probably wont hear anything else about it.

Cool, thanx you guys. I recently spoke to the chief Pilot and he said that they are going to do a new type of schedule, were you'll be on call from 6am to 6pm. Or something like that. Are their airplanes pretty well kept? I'm glad to hear there arent that many overnights anymore though

What kind of airplanes do they fly?

They have 6-7 Jetstreams, 2 LR35s a C208, a KA200, and a LR45 in Smyrna. When I was there the Jetstream crews didnt do that many overnights other than the shuttle operations (some, just not a huge amount), but the LR guys, expecially the 45 were gone a lot.

Not bad so far

Do you know what the pay is around? is it really low?? does the schedule give you a chance to get a part time somewhere just in case you need some more mula.???? How are the pilots there? are they a pretty good group of people? oh yeah, do they train you in the airplanes or send to flightsafety???

...and where are they located on the field? I'm down there tomorrow for a while. I can't remember the name of the FBO we hang out at (even though I'm down there once a month) but there are always numerous jetstreams all over the place.

They are located at the CFM FBO (approach end of rwy 32). It is the busiest FBO on the field. I recomend Smyrna Air Center. But I am a little biased(used to work there).

What's their hiring outlook like? Are they actively looking for people. What are their minimums?

Does anyone have any idea how many people they are looking to hire???

Was just at CFM (the fbo) today. We used to go to SAC but were never impressed with the service or the quality of the digs (sorry) so we switched. We are definitely happier. CFM is moving across the field to a new hangar and fbo complex, should be really nice then.

As earlier stated, expect below standard pay

I read that but I didn't know if you had actual numbers or not. I'm not interested in going to work down there but some guys, myself included, may be interested in seeing just how far below average the pay is.

Does anyone have any idea what the upgrade time is there???

I just flew w/ an FO that worked for them and had really good things to say, only negative was the lack of time off but the rest seemed ok.

Ill ask him more tomrw after breakfast, seems to know someone in the interview panel that can have good info.

After the interviews , the VP Ops painted a somewhat dark picture as far as schedules and time off. One of the Chief Pilots (I think they have 2) painted a very rosy picture. I guess the truth is somewhere in between. Still hope I get hired!
