What would be a good pay for a BE-200 Corporate PIC (flying 25-50 hours a month, 2/3 days a week) (based in the west)

Thanks

Isn't 65k a little high for 2/3 days flying a week?

Thanks guys.

Not for Pt.91. What other duties are involved? I imagine you'll be single-pilot, doing Jepps, light cleaning, etc. Are you managing the airplane? If not, you should and charge a premium. The boss will still save money over a management co.

It's indeed part 91. I'll be flying it 2 or 3 days a week. Do Jepps, flightplanning, cleaning etc.

They also got their own mechanic.

The thing is, I’m wondering whether or not it’s realistic to ask for 65k a year, while sitting on my a** 4/5 days a week. Got my point? I appreciate your input. Thanks.

HMR is right. If you're ready to fly whenever and have some other duties, 65K is right on track. Don't let anyone fool ya. That's what the job is worth.

Hell I made 45K flying a Navajo less than 200 hrs a year.

Got your point. Remember, you are not the owner of the airplane. You are already starting to sound like one. Go in with the high salary. He will respect you more for asking for it. He charges a great deal for his services, as should you.

Also, what are you doing when you are not flying? Is you cell phone off? Do you go out the golf course and play while getting drunk? I would guess not. You are still on call WORKING, ready to leave. It is not the kind of work that most people do, but you are still on call, right?

Do not sell yourself or you profession short.

Good luck. All of us out west are hoping that you keep the bar high. BTW, my good friend flies for a very established flight department flying a BE-200 for 80K/year. It can and does happen.

PS hire a detailer, your golf game will vastly improve. ;)

Are you looking at going to work (intials only) J.P. If so PM me and I will give you the low down. I used to fly for him.

G100,

No. But thanks for your offer!
