greetings all, just a quick question. can anyone tell me if any of the corporate flight operations employ their own meteorologists/aviation weather forecasters?, and if so, would you happen to have a point of contact?

thanks for the help...

ps, i am a 12 year aviation weather meteorologist, so if anyone has any weather related questions, please feel free to ask.

Man… and here I was thinking we were sierra hotel when they hooked up cable TV in the crew room so we could stare at those big brown eyes Kristina Abernathy (Weather Channel Weather Babe) has.

Heck we had a hard enough time getting them to hire enough pilots let alone a Degreed Meteorologist.

 :D

We use the Honeywell Global Data Center, Air Routing, Universal Aviation, Intellicast and DUATS for our weather...

I HIGHLY doubt any Corporate Flight Departments employ their own Meteorologists...

Now on the other hand, I bet NetJets does... Also you could look into Honeywell's Global Data Center, they have meteorologists on staff.. they are located in Washington State...

Global Data Center

Hope this helps!

Contract mets

Most utilize contract flight planning/meteorologist services like, GDC, Universal, Jeppesen, and Duats. I'd check with them if you need work.

Not sure but they all may get the bulk of their data from the NWS or other government related entities around the world.

Good luck,
