I'm going to convert my Canadian Lic. to FAA. I'm looking for a good place to do it. I'm looking for a mom and pop type of place, preferably in the Seatle area, but I'm open to almost anywhere.
I phoned a few places and half of them have no idea what I need to do. I have all the time needed for the Com, and Multi IFR. I'm looking to do the commercial and multi intrument ride all in one.
Anyone know of a good place to go?

Cheers
Tacks.

Just for the heck of it, why don't you contact the local FAA FSDO or (faa.gov)and get a ruling on what you need to do. You're going to have to meet with them eventually anyway. The problem you are running into is that a lot of countries do not exchange pilot licenses with the USA, so we don't either. Find out exactly and then you are armed with the information. Probably just a matter of paperwork, proof of training, logbook endorsements and other minor pilot info.

While you are checking, make sure you can change them back, in case you don't like us..........(Lrn2Fly)

Sorry, I should have been more specific, I know exactly what to do, it's just that half of the schools don't seem to know. I don't think it;'s a very commen thing. I've chatted with the FSDO guy and the ball is rolling. I had to send in a form to Oklahoma so they could verify my info. I'll have to do both writtens, and I'm trying to complete the Com and Multi IFR ride all in one shot.
I'm just looking for a trustworthy school to bang out 3-4 hours in a twin that isn't clapped out.

Somone has mentioned to me ATP, any thoughts on them?
Just to put you at ease, I'm dual Canuck and Yankee.
