Those guys down at Southern Air in TPA are looking for a contract guy for a trip tomorrow (2.16.06).

Good luck....sounds like you can name your price.

You must have the wrong job. ;) These guys had folks lined up and beating their door down to get on there according to them for an SIC job, don't get to actually fly except for 3 bounces every 90 days, 25K/year, must already be schooled and current, no schedule, etc. A real 1st class opeartion. All the contract switch monkeys must have to clean their fish tanks out tomorrow, otherwise, this would already be covered. I'd get my $ in advance if I was doing any flying at all with these professionals.

from reading the boards you can name your price as long as it's 100 bucks a day and you bring your own bag lunch.

If they can't cover the trip, maybe the aircraft owner will wonder why and start asking questions. I really wonder if the owners are aware of how pathetically paid and experienced their crews are? I wouldn't be suprised if the owner is paying $120k+ per year for salaries, and only $60k is being spent.

Then again, they'll just pull somebody off another airplane, throw them in the right seat, and go without any training. It wouldn't be out of character.

I'll do it for $1,000 a day, plus expenses, like I charge everyone else I fly a 650 for. They can take it or leave it. I stay plenty busy not flying for free.
