America's first group of black fighter pilots will be awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest civilian honor bestowed by the federal legislative branch, in a ceremony March 29.
 
Only about 60 years after the fact. More political, feel-good posturing on the part of our politicians, most of who probably have zero clue about what the Red-Tails did or the sacrifices they made. But, hey, it probably will play good with the voters back home.
