Heard from someone in management that Compass might close Detroit and open either SFO/LAX pilot base. If that was the case I imagine many would quit since the commute to east to west would be absolutely impossible. And they just hired 3 compass mechanics in SFO. Would like to hear what others feel about this

Rumor is the LAX flying is only Sept to May.

Looks like all 14 lax-sfo flights and lax-mci. Smarter then when 9E did the LAX flying with no MX out there. Planes broken for days... Would think more flying would be needed for a base out there...

CPZ, as have other DCI carriers have had the flights they operated shifted every 6-8 months as long as I have been here. It was DCA first, then SLC, right now it is LGA, and next it seems is LAX.

XJT and ASA both had short lived DCI pilot domiciles out in LAX. I don't see them jumping to put a pilot base out there.

From what the mx folk have told me the mx managers they are hiring for LAX, SFO, and MCI will oversee contract mechanics.

Sigh..........If only the XJT domicile would have lasted.

Sitting reserve on Manhattan/Hermosa beach wasn't too painful of an experience.
