I got the call for an upcoming interview date. Just curious if anyone has gotten hired there that does not have 121 PIC time. I am concerned that my application made it through because my numbers met the criteria, but they didn't really look at the breakdown of my past. I know they are hiring a lot of current jet guys..just wondering if I have a realistic chance.

Well, whats your past history breakdown?? Ya got the interview, so now its up to you whether or not you get the job. Good luck.

I know of at least 5 people that have gotten hired with no 121 PIC time (myself included) and I'm sure there are many more than the 5 that I know.

I don't know what your history is, but if they gave you an interview they want to hire you so I wouldn't sweat it.

Looks like your probably flying at Horizon with good SIC time. You are ready to be a CA...you just can't hold it. Compass is hiring into the FO seat now. If hired, expect to sit right seat until you get the CA bid. In training, you will be typed, so upgrade to CA does not require going back to the schoolhouse. If hired in the next few weeks, expect to get an October/November class date. Your seniority range if starting in Oct/Nov will most likely be 125-175.

36 aircraft on firm order equals the need for about 180 Captains. The company has 36 firm options to my knowledge that probably will get exercised..but nothing confirmed. Right now the flow to NW sends 90 guys to NW in about 3 to 3.5 years meaning guys up to number 270 or so will sit left seat rather quickly. Also, this does not take into account attrition to carriers other than NW. Compass requires you to sign a one year training agreement - so there could be guys leaving before going to NW. I've heard ALPA has instructed the guys in training to not sign the training agreement..but I don't know about that one.

Search for gouge on here and the other forum and you'll have good intel.

Here's a training question. I know you train as a captain and take your type ride...what seat is IOE given? left, right, or both? When you upgrade, is there *any* additional training (left seat IOE?)?

I heard the first 30 days of training are at home, self study. When do they ask u to sign the training contract? First day of employent?

Started at Compass on the 7th. No training contract signed in our class. Now that would suck. Sign a 12K contract to take home a CD!! Most companies have the contract go into effect when you complete the sim. Dont know for sure in this case.

My seniority is 101 about 20 #'s from the last person to go straight in as a captain. My guess is that maybe 2-3 from my class will not return after the month at home. So I am looking at maybe in the mid to high 90's when I am done. The top 10-15 are not on the bid triangle.

As for my experience. I have no PIC turbine. do have heavy jet time in various A/c. Does it matter how you get the call. NO! There are several people that are going straight in as captains with none.

Biggest thing is getting the call for the interview, my opinion after that is the job is yours to lose!
