Boy you hit on a sore spot. The 738 is like comparing a 12 passenger nice luxury GMC van with a 350 V-8 engine to a well, remember the old Voltswagon bus you had in college. The same===========that is your 737. If you want a real comparison it depends on what you are going to do with the airplane. It looks like to me that you are an Airtran guy. For your type of operation the 737 is going to be pretty hard to beat. The engines are great and they just keep going and going O/H is only by wear and tear, take good care of the engines and they will last for forever. You could take a full load out of ATL on a hot day and go non-stop to the West coast with ease. If you are trying to do charter the 757 is the only way to go, it has that little 2.0 hours long extra range and carry's those extra 20 passengers that customers always want. The military loves the 757, they do not like the 737. If you need numbers on the 737 I can give them to you. PM me, Thanks.
